About the memorial: Gilded lettering surmounted by a carved wood depiction of The Crucifixion flanked by the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist in the style of a Rood. Description:- An oblong of painted wood with the long sides mounted vertically. The outer section consists of a slim frame of black running around the entire monument, this is followed by a slim white frame and then by a thicker red frame which has black rose flowers painted upon it. This is followed by a slim gold frame which runs around the top and both sides only, within this framework the monument is roughly divided into 2, the top half being decorative while the bottom half contains the names. The division is by a red painted band which has white chevrons upon it, and a white cross at its centre. The upper (decorative) half consists of a cross holding a figure of Christ crucified with the letter INRI in a scroll at the top of the cross, to the left of the cross is a female figure while to the right is a male figure. All figures are multi coloured and are on a blue background. Above the cross, and extending slightly down each side of it is an gold painted arch which contains gold carved flowers on a red background. The bottom half of the memorial consists of gold lettering on a dark wood varnished background. Dimensions:- The monument is 107cm tall by 48cm wide, the upper decorative half is 60cm tall by 36 wide and the dividing strip is 6cm tall. The lower half is 34cm tall and 36cm wide, while all the framing in total is 7cm.
