About the memorial: Situated - at the junction of Park Road and May Street in the village of Crosland Moor approximately 1 ½ miles from Huddersfield Town Centre Description –a stained glass window in the south aisle with figures of Christ with a soldier and sailor, flanked by St. Stephen and St. Alban There are three coats of arms Upper left – Huddersfield; Upper right – (fleur de lys; Lower centre – cross, crown and keys-signifying the Kingdom of God. Below the stained glass window is a memorial Tablet for World War 11. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
