About the memorial: The memorial stands on a bank above and to the east of the main road through Llwyngwril, near St Celynnin's Church, about half a mile from the coast. The age is assumed to be around 1920. A Celtic-cross style 1914-18 war memorial of granite. The splayed square base has a polished panel to the front with commemorative inscription. The wheel-headed cross and shaft have low-relief interlace decoration to the front.
