About the memorial: In corner of churchyard. Celtic cross on plinth with stepped base. Plinth bears WW1 names and inscription. WW2 inscription and names on stone set into stepped base, and also newly inscribed (2014) on formerly blank rear face of memorial. In 2014, the memorial was cleaned, the first world war names repainted, and second world war names added to the plinth to replace those on the very worn and faded original paving stone. Application has been made to the War Memorials Trust (February 2015) for a grant towards replacing uneven and narrow paving around the base of the memorial, renewing the steps leading up to it, and replacing the wrought iron metal gate. Fund-raising activities in the village are continuing.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
