About the memorial: Four-light stained glass window with figures in each light. Dedicatory tablet placed below with names in four columns. Minor lights of the window showing the Arms of ten Allied Countries. Left major light depicts St George and an action at Zeebrugge on St Georges Day when Leading Seaman Evans of Swaffham blew up a block ship. Next major light shows Joshua, Conquerer of the Holy Land, and General Allenby's entry into Jerusalem. Third light shows St Michael, and Gunner Betts of Royal Horse Artillery being assisted by Gunner Hudson of Swaffham at Battle of Mons. Extreme right major light depicts Virgin Mary and the Ministry of Women in a Red Cross Hospital. Original WMO compiler - "Within the church, in a recess on the right hand (south) side of the nave,below a stained glass window also dedicated to the fallen of WW1.Four granite tablets within a granite frame, listing a total of 91 names of fallen men from WW1, each of the first three tablets listing 23 names, and the fourth 2 names: the names listed alphabetically by surname (except for one late addition at the end), giving unit and in most cases, date and theatre of death."
