Setting: Inside a building - public/private
Description: Roll of Honour or Book of Remembrance
Materials:
  • Paper Paper

  • First World War (1914-1918)
About the memorial: Typescript piece of paper. This is document reference YDFCM 1/1/268. It is not recorded where this was originally kept, it was deposited with a large collection of local Methodist Records drawn from a variety of sources. However as this is catalogued as being for the Workington Wesleyan Methodist Circuit, it is most likely to have been at Workington South William Street Church- as that was the principal chapel in the Circuit. In 1965 that Church became Trinity Methodist Church and closed around 2004.
