About the memorial: Standing at the corner of the junction of Watton Road with Sparrow Hill, on the eastern edge of the Stanford Battle Area. A square column, with floral edged cap, holding dedication & names and resting on narrow stepped base on square stone in plot surrounded by iron railings. The front face bears the general commemoration and the names of 15 men from the parish of Tottington who gave their lives in WW1. The left and right faces bear the names of a total of 45 men who returned safely. The names are arranged alphabetically by surname, with fornames for those who died, and initials for those who returned, but without rank or unit.
