About the memorial: In 1942 St. Andrew' s Parish Church united with Chalmers Street Church and Queen Anne Street Church to become the Erskine Church. In 1974 it became St. Andrew's Erskine. Church. The memorial was in storage for a number of years and after conservation work it was relocated into St. Andrew's Erskine Church, Robertson Road Dunfermline. Rededicated 11 November 2018. The memorial is a large brass plaque measuring about 800mm by 500mm, with incised lettering filled with black and red waxes, recording 37 names of those who fell in the Great War. The plaque is designed to be secured to a wall or timber backing support with brass countersunk screws.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
