About the memorial: White marble tablet with red marble surround. Family and Regimental badges in the top corners. Black lettering. The memorial is close to a window on the south wall dedicated to Caoprain Hulse, opposite a window to 2nd Lt E H W Hulse who was killed in WW1.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

To the glory of God and in affectionate remembrance of Charles Westrow Hulse Captain and Hon. Major D.C.O. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Artillery Militia who was killed in action whilst gallantly leading the 106 Squadron of the 4 Battalion of Imperial Yeomanry at Braklaagte South Africa on 4 June 1901. This tablet is erected by his brother officers (past and present). I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course.
