About the memorial: Addition to the stone gravestone of his parents, who had both pre-deceased him. This should be read in conjunction with the other memorial to him at Castle Carrock (which are complementary to each other), which also gives his age and the names of his sisters. This (Thursby) gravestone also gives biographical information about his parents (both of Irish extraction), and his father was previously Rector of Castle Carrock.
