A second World War roll of honour was added in 1949. It was moved to the Territorial Army Centre at Fallings Park, Wolverhampton in 1997. The monument was relocated to its present site at the museum with the kind assistance of the fourth battalion of the Mercian Regiment, the West Midlands Reserve Forces and Cadets Association." "The Great War/1914-1918/the following employees/of W Butler and Co Ltd/fell in the war:- Inscribed below names of fallen in WW1: They whom this memorial commemorates were numbered amongst those who fell at the call of king and country, left all that was dear to them, endured hardness, faced danger and finally passed out of the sight of men by the path of duty and self-sacrifice, giving up their own lives that others might live in freedom. 'Let those that come after see to it that their names be not forgotten.' On second tablet underneath - The World War / 1939-1945/ Here in equal honour with the names of those who trod the same road, are commemorated the heroes who died for freedom.
