About the memorial: Illuminated calligraphy on parchment in a glazed wooden frame. Names are in blue, regiments in red and casualty indicators in gold. This was at the Educational Institute (on Church Hill) until around 2012 when it was moved by the Parish Council to the newly refurbished Cemetery Chapel. Historically it had been in the Educational Institute, where the Parish Council meetings had been held. At some stage it was put away and was rediscovered in a store cupboard in the early 1990's. Part of the reason for the move was construction of a lift shaft where it had been displayed. Made by Agnes Aubrey Hilton, 1922. The casualty list differs from that on the brass in the Parish Church- see separate report.
