About the memorial: Standing in the churchyard at the south west corner of the church.A stone wheel cross, upon a square pyramidal plinth, standing upon a square base. The front (west) face bears the general commemoration, whist the left (north) and right (south) faces bear the names of 9 men who lost their lives in WW1, listed by date of death, giving rank, name, unit, how died, where and date. On the rear (east) face are listed, alphabetically, the names of 5 men from Hilborough, and neighbouring Bodney, who died during WW2. Just names and service are given.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
