About the memorial: On the West wall next to the Tower Arch, the memorial is a cast bronze plaque in the shape of a headstone with a central sword and wreath motif dividing columns of names. Below the plaque is a shelf to hold wreaths and at the sides are sockets to hold Churchwarden's Wands (probably placed there when the pews were removed). Next to the memorial is the memorial plaquette to RW Day, whose name appears on the main memorial. On the South wall is a Roll of Honour listing all who served with those who lost their lives marked as 'R.I.P.'

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
