Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.
If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.
The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

Homage to all Heroes: Copenhagen 1801/ This memorial commemorates all those who fought at the first Battle of Copenhagen on 2 April 1801./ It especially honours the magnanimity of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, who addressed his message of/ truce 'To the Brothers of Englishmen, the Danes', and the gallantry of the Danes, epitomized by the/ courage of 17-year-old Lieutenant Peter Willemoes./ This plaque was unveiled on 31 March 2007 and was the first in the United Kingdom to commemorate/ and honour the participants in the Battle of Copenhagen of 1801. The British fleet sailed to the Baltic/ from Great Yarmouth and returned here after the battle./ Hyldest til alle Helte: Kobenhaven 1801/ Dette mindesmaerke er til minde om alle, der kaempede i Slaget pa Reden den 2 april 1801./ Den haedrer isaer admiral Lorf Horatio Nelson aedelmodighed, der rettede sin meddelelse om/ vabenhvile 'Til Englaendernes Brode, Danskerne', samt danskernes tapperhed, symboliseret ved den/ 17-arige lojtnant Peter Willemoes heltemod./ Denne mindepade blev afsloret den 31. marts 2007 og er den forste i Storbritannien der mindes og/ haedrer de tapre sjaele ved Slaget pa Reden i 1801. Den britiske flade sejlede til Osteroen/ fra Great Yarmouth og vendte tilbage hertil efter slaget.
