Principal inscription 'To the Glory of God and in grateful memory of the gallant men who went forth from Stone and laid down their lives for this country in the Great War 1914-1918'. Now barely visible.

Not visible, and not reinstated in 2021 restoration as now incorporated on replacement Parish memorial in Stone Recreation Ground.
