About the memorial: A Cross of Sacrifice superimposed upon a large Latin Cross, surmounted upon the remains of the old village cross.The whole surmounted upon a triangular, 2-tier base of concrete and stone. The base of the pillar bears on the reverse, the general description of the cross, and on the opposite side are the names of 9 men who lost their lives in WW1. The names are listed alphabetically by surname, with initials: no rank or unit are given. On the north side of the cross is listed the name of one man who died in WW2. The south side of the cross states that it was restored in 1989.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
