About the memorial: This wooden calvary was placed here after WW1 by the mother of Sub Lt P F Armstrong. It was replaced in 2005 by a CWGC style cross on the original base. Of the wooden components only the two supporting angel figures appear to survive, inside the church either side of the altar. The fate of the rest is unknown. WMT is aware of the situation. See also Ref 137663 Beaulieu. I have not added a Condition Update as War Memorials Trust Conservation Dept are aware of the situation. The wooden figures in the church are in good condition.
