About the memorial: Within the church, on the left hand, north wall of the nave. Five tablets. The upper stone tablet, with decorated top border, bears the names of 35 men, in three columns, who gave their lives in WW1. The names are listed alphabetically by surname, with initials, but no rank or unit is given. Below is a smaller tablet bearing the names of 8 who gave their lives in WW2, and below that a further tablet in memory of 4 more names, all listed in a similar manner. Within the church is a list of the WW1 men, giving full names, which was compiled as part of the WW1 100th anniversary events. Note that since 2014 an additional tablet has been added between the original WW1 and WW2 tablets for 13 additional WW1 casualties identified.; also an additional tablet added below the WW2 board for one further WW2 casualty who has been identified.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
