About the memorial: Standing in the churchyard of St. Mary, at the west end of the church.A granite Latin Cross superimposed with a wreath of laurels, and bearing the dates 1914 1918 at the centre. Supported by a tapered column upon a shaped plinth and stepped, two-tiered base. The front of the column bears an inlaid polished granite plaque commemorating the 7 men of West Winch who gave their lives in WW1, and below the names of 2 who gave their lives in WW2. On the plinth below are the names of 3 men of Setchey who gave their lives in WW1. The names in each group are arranged alphabetically by surname, preceded by initials. No ranks or units are given.
