About the memorial: Dedicated to the fallen of Great Preston, Bowers Allerton (Bowers Row) and Hollinhurst districts in the Parish of Great and Little Preston. Set in a stone walled paved area with flower bed around the base. The bedding plants are changed twice a year. Two stone seats built into the road side wall. The site was included in the land purchased by the adjacent Woodend Nurseries to extend their business. The owners gifted the site to the Parish.The monument and site is maintained by Great and Little Preston Parish Council. Due to availability of Clergy, the Remembrance Day service is usually held at 2pm on the Sunday afternoon followed by complimentary refreshments in the nearby Village Hall.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
