About the memorial: According to the Kentish Mercury, 24th September 1926, the memorial is a 'rough-hewn' block of Aberdeen granite. The East Greenwich Gas Works War Memorial was erected in 1926 and dedicated by the Bishop of Southwark on 18th September 1926. It is inscribed with the names of 79 employees of the East Greenwich Gas Work Company.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
