About the memorial: The memorial to the Sailors who died at the King George's Sanitorim for Sailors in Bramshott, Hampshire, is located in the grounds of St Mary the Virgin Church, Bramshott, at the southern end of the Canadian war graves.The Sanatorium itself was opened in 1920. Whilst it was initially intended for merchant seamen, a good many seamen and marines were also treated, and subsequently died there.
