About the memorial: The memorial was in St Michael's and All Angels Church, and commemorates Gonville Warneford in the 2nd Yemen Rebellion (Part of the Aden war). It tells us Gonville Warneford's rank, date of death and the names of some of his family. The memorial is in very good condition, with a few scratches and small damage, which doesn't effect the readability. It seems to be better kept than most memorials of brass and being inside and away from harm, seems to help. The surrounding area is well maintained and the structure is stable. The memorial is relatively easy to access and is bolted high up on a wall. The writing is inscribed, and as it is about one person (and a brief mention of his father and his uncle)
