About the memorial: The church is redundant but in use as a social centre with the war memorial chapel retained as a place for prayer. The standard was originally laid up at Tidworth then moved here. Rectangular metal plaque with gold lettering, framed by raised border of stone and coat of arms at the top. As a general rule flags do not count as war memorials but the wording of the accompanying plaque validates this example.
