The Regimental Colour above is one of the set presented to the 1st Battalion 24th Regiment on 21st march 1825. During the Sikh War this Colour was carried at the battle of Chillianwallah on 13th January 1849 by Ensign H.C. Collis, who was killed in the action as also were the remainder of the Colour Party commanded by Lieutenant W. Phillips who was carrying the Queen's Colour. The Regimental Colour was carried out of action by Pte. Perry who received promotion to Serjeant for this deed. The Queen's Colour was lost in the quagmire at Chillianwallah and was replaced in 1850 by the Queen's Colour above. These Colours were laid up in St Mary's Church Warwick on the 4th December 1868 and were transferred to this chapel on 23rd August 1936.
