About the memorial: Calvary on fluted stem set on robust square plinth with coloured crest on dedicatory stone front. Memorial stands on 2 stepped octagonal base. Private stone Calvary Cross on two steps. Front face a bears a brass roundel with the Royal Arms Helmet Plate style Badge of the Royal Artillery.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Below lie the ashes of William Henry Percival Arden, Priest. Youngest son of George Pinkard Arden of Longcroft Hall who died 23rd February 1956 aged 93. Also the ashes of his wife Emily Beatrice, youngest daughter of the Rev, J D Lowe, sometime Rector of Yoxall who died 23rd March 1956 aged 88. They erected this calvary in memory of their only surviving child Humphrey Warwick Arden In thanksgiving to almighty God for the beautiful life and glorious death of Humphrey Warwick Arden., B.A, Cantab, F.O, O.R.G.A, killed at Messines June 6th 1917 aged 25. Laid to rest at Bailleul, France Son and only surviving child of the Rev, William Henry Percival Arden and Emily Beatrice his wife and grandson of G.P. Arden of Longcroft Hall and the Rev J.B.Lowe, D.D., sometime Rector of this parish Sed Miles Sed Pro Patria. R.I.P.
