About the memorial: The memorial stands in the Churchyard. Small Clipsham stone wheel cross, with knot design and sword in relief, set on tapering plinth with WW1 dedication and square base. Granite tablet added to base, 2010.

Erected by the inhabitants of Thorpe Langton to the memory of Gnr. H G Palmer 119th Army Brigade, R.F.A. killed in action June 21st 1917 at Ypres 'He gave his life for his country Greater honour hath no man than this'. (2010, New granite panel inscribed & attached).
