About the memorial: Two identical white marble tablets with mosaic border inset into the wall in the vestibule. Inscription in gold lettering. These tablets flank a central tablet to J Howie Boyd, minister of the Church for 45 years who died just 8 days after the armistice. Both tablets have a gold and green mosaic border with mosaic laurel leaves and berries on a gold mosaic background at the top. The memorial is made of 18 different polished marbles from throughout the UK, Europe and the British Dominions. One of the most prominent is from Thessaly Quarry, Salonica, Greece which was used in many famous buildings in Constantinople. Note that this is a working antique shop, and the porch is their "front window" to attract customers in. It is therefore entirely reasonable that the memorial is partly obstructed by furniture. They were very happy to move it aside for photography reasons. The inside of the Church has been lovingly preserved and is quite stunning. This Church became St George's United Reformed Church. Following the closure of the church in 2013 the building was sold in 2014, and became Warwick Tower antique centre. The memorial remains in situ and the owners advise there are no plans to move it. By July 2021 it is Desire It Antiques and Interiors. By November 2022 it has been further renamed as Nosey Cow Vintage Furniture.
