About the memorial: Bound Book of Remembrance in glass-fronted, wooden-framed cabinet which records the names and service details of the 122 men (of whom 21 fell) from Hawkshead who served in WWI plus, in some cases, their subsequent careers. The book can be inspected if prior notice is given and further details about those named therein are very welcome and are added as time permits.
