About the memorial: This memorial commemorates those who lost their lives in a bomb loading accident on 23 June 1943.It was constructed in October 2014 and is located close to the site of the explosion, next to RAF Ridgewell's former perimeter track at Ovington.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
