About the memorial: Stone cross on rough stone plinth which holds the names of those who died at one (or more) of the cottage hospitals set up by the Grand Duchess George of Russia when she was stranded in Harrogate during the Great War. The memorial stands in front of a stone wall on a corner with posts and rails in front.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
