To the Glory of God. Remember Capt. the Rev Rupert Edward Inglis, chaplain to the forces, for 17 years Rector of this parish. Killed in action near Ginchy in the Battle of the Somme, Sept. 18th 1916, whilst assisting to bring in wounded under fire. 'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for this friends.
