About the memorial: Memorial Trees. A Maple tree and an English Oak tree were planted & dedicated on December 6th. 2014 to commemorate the 70th. anniversary of a mid-air collision over Yelvertoft, 5th./6th.Dec.1944. A total of 14 aircraft crew members were killed. The two trees will now serve as an ongoing memorial. (An existing memorial board name the two crews in All Saints' Church, Yelvertoft, ref :207409).
