About the memorial: US Armed Forces: Standing at the junction of Brecklands Green with South pickenham Road, on the site of the entrance to the WW2 station of RAF North Pickenham.A polished granite tablet, set into a flint wall, flanked by brickwork pillars and low wall. The tablet is engraved with the images of 2 Liberator bombers and the badge of the 8th USAAF, in memory of the men of the 492nd and 491st Bombardment Groups who flew from RAF North Pickenham in WW2.
