About the memorial: Standing in the corner of the gateway at the entrance to Garvestone churchyard. A rough Latin cross with cross incised on main cross, set on square base. The general commemoration to WW1 is set in the centre of the column, with the names of 8 men who fell in WW1 below. The names are listed alphabetically by surname, with first names, and ages. On the square base, in a similar manor, are listed the names of 5 men who fell in WW2.
