To the Glory of God and in ever loving memory of Lt. Col. Reginald Wilson Fox of Grimstone, Horrabridge, Devon, younger son of Charles Henry and Caroline Fox of Shuteleigh in the Parish, born Novr. 1st 1866 who commanded the Devonshire Regt. T.F. from 1909 to 1913 and was killed in action in the attack on the Dijjailah Redoubt on the Tigris on March 8th 1916 while serving in Mesopotamia in the 1/6 Batt. Devonshire Regt. T.F. 'He that doeth the will of God abideth for ever'.
