About the memorial: War memorial recreation ground dedicated in 1921 to those from Framfield who lost their lives. Given by Mr and Mrs G T Eaton of Thurston Hall for the benefit of all parishioners. In 1923 trees were planted in the ground dedicated to those who lost their lives and a marble plaque was installed in 2004 to explain this.
