About the memorial: This entry is somewhat speculative and further research by some local person would be welcome. The church was founded in 1899 but seems to have closed around 1975 and to have been demolished by 1979 with the area reforested since. The memorial was an oval tablet with a laurel border. It was apparently moved to the Church of St Bartholomew in Clay Cross but at some point the border was seriously damaged. In 2013 the Clay Cross church was searched but the memorial could not be found and must be presumed lost. Inscription under names tab
