About the memorial: A wall mounted mottled grey marble tablet. The tablet has a segmental pediment at the head, surmounted by a moulded cornice. The main section has tapered rebated sides and a recessed central panel bearing the names. The 29 fallen from Barlborough village are in two columns, separated by a vertical line. Three further names are added for the fallen of Barber's Row, two at the foot of the main columns and one below the quotation. The incised inscription is in mainly upright capital Roman lettering coloured black. The tablet is supported by two moulded brackets. It is on the south wall of the south aisle. The men from Barber's Row are also commemorated on their own memorial, now in the Churchyard of this Church- WMO/290940. There was also a (now lost) illuminated Clock with Chimes placed in the Church tower. By rights and by responsible cataloguing rules this should be a separate report but if I do that it will only be re-aggregated into this report.
