About the memorial: The Royal Naval Air Station, where airships were based, was built at Lenabo during the First World War. A Memorial to the crew of one of these airships, which crashed in the North Sea in 1918, is in the Church above the door to the Vestry. Inscription - AFT PROPELLOR 220 h.p.
