About the memorial: The WW2 memorial is located just inside the Parish of Draughton on a stretch of road between Harrington & Lamport. It is sited on a taxi-way section of the former air base within a small fenced & gated area adjacent to the road. Angled plinth with inscription etched onto top & sides. 8th. Air Force badge in enamel & etched depiction of a B24 Liberator taking off, on front face of memorial. The whole memorial stands on a kerbed raised stone base.
