About the memorial: A brass plaque commemorating the opening of a 'Memorial Room' at Tredegar County School on 7th October 1921 by a Miss M. Llewellyn and, dedicated to the memory of former students of this school who were killed in the First World War. The original room has been demolished along with the remainder of the County Intermediate School buildings at Tredegar. This brass plaque has since been relocated to Tredegar Comprehensive School.
