About the memorial: The roadside memorial is located close to a signpost pointing to Deene, on the north side of Harringworth to Laxton Rd. The memorial consists of a single-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth with upper platform & tapering square sectioned obelisk. Metal plaques are mounted at the obelisk base & on the plinth, with inscription lettering infilled with white paint. The whole memorial is surrounded by a small paved area. Closeby is an information panel explaining the role of the airfield.
