About the memorial: 5 light, stained glass, east window. Left hand light dedicated to John Bloomfield Gough, depicts the birth of Christ. Two right hand lights dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel Charles Pretor-Pinney DSO, depict the Resurrection and the Ascension. The other two lights are dedicated to parishioners (Frederick Wake Pretor-Pinney and Edmund W Valentine) and depict the Transfiguration and Crucifixion.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

1st light - 'For unto us a child is born'. To the glory of God and in loving memory of John Bloomfield Gough Royal Horse Artillery killed in action near Coulommiers France 8th Sept. 1914. Aged 28 yrs. Erected by his wife.4th and 5th light - 'I am the Resurrection and the Life'. 'I ascend unto My Father and your Father'. To the glory of God and in loving memory of Lt. Colonel Charles F Pretor-Pinney D.S.O. the Rifle Brigade. Killed in action in the Great War April 28th 1917. Aged 52. Erected by his wife.
