About the memorial: Grade II* cenotaph by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Royal Berkshire Regiment. The war memorial is located in a former barracks which has been reduced in size since the construction of the war memorial, which was originally accessed from the current hedge area. The memorial contains two caskets which include Rolls of Honour. There are two carved painted flags on the east and west faces which are the regimental and King's Colours of the regiment.
