Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

In memory of Group Captain Walter M Churchill DSO DFC. Founded Churchills Coventry 1937. Commanded No 3 Sqdn, Battle for France; formed No. 71 Sqdn Thje First Americain Eagles. Commanded 605 Squadron. Wounded in the Battle of Britain. Killed in action Air Officer Commanding Siege of Malta 1942In memory of Major W Oliver Churchill DSO MC Italian Partisan Medal. Intelligence Officer, Special Operations Executive. Several missions to the partisans in the Mediterranean Theatre. Captured, escaped and survived. Became non-executive director of Churchills. In memory of Captain Peter M Churchill DSO Croix de Guerre. Intelligence Officer Special Operations Executive. Four missions to occupied France. Captured but survived the concentration camps. Liberated by the US 5th Army 1945. In memory of all Churchills Staff 'blitzes' out of Coventry 1940 rebuilding their lives and the Company here in Market Bosworth. During the Battle of Britain Walter Churchill landed his Hurricaine in the field opposite to oversee the move from Coventry
