About the memorial: A decorated, bound Book of Remembrance, with wreath on its cover, housed in a wrought iron grilled cabinet with pediment and raised edges and decorated border showing WW1 dedication in gold lettering at the top. Below is a further plaque for WW2, and noting the relocation of the memorial in 1950. The book and cabinet were originally housed at the Slough Nurses Home and Health Centre in Burlington Road (WMO/255242). They were relocated to Slough Town Hall in 1950. The town hall was converted to a school c.2012, and the book and cabinet were moved to temporary storage prior to going to St Mary's Church (see BBC Link). Confirmation is required that the book is actually at St Mary's Church, and if it still has the same cabinet and WW2 plaque.
