To the glory of God and in affectionate memory of Colonel William Cox who died at Belgaum on the 13th June 1890 when in command of the 2nd Battn. The Price Albert's Somersetshire Light Infantry, having served with the Regiment for 35 years. This tablet is erected by his brother officers.
