About the memorial: A large illuminated scroll, with coloured lettering in various styles.The ornate heading is followed by two sections, the first listing the fallen, in four columns ,some 21 names. The second list those who served, again in four columns, some 150 name. The Roll is in a glass covered wooden frame and is in a prominent position in the front of the Church. The names of the fallen are also remembered on a marble tablet attached to a internal wall. There is also a file on each of the fallen, available by appointment. The Marble Tablet is recorded with the War Memorial Trust, ref 223498.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

ROL OF HONOUR across the top, above which the Royal Coat of Arms flanked by Union Flags. To the left is 1914, to the right 1919. Under the title reads A record of the members of the Wycliffe Memorial Church Men's Bible Class and Sunday School, who in the hour of need and trial nobly responded to the Nations call for her sons to serve their King and Country. Within a gold strap reads 'The following have made the supreme sacrifice', there follows 21 names. Following the list of fallen a second gold strap reads 'These also served with His Majesty's Forces ' below which 150 names are listed in four columns.
